Florida Women’s Lacrosse Signs Eleven – Two Floridians

From Gatorzone.com University of Florida Head Lacrosse Coach Amanda O’Leary is proud to announce the signing of 11 future Gators to National Letters of Intent. The Gators welcome Amy Arnold (Topsfield, Md.), Haley Bordner (Sykesville, Md.), Taylor Bresnahan (Edgewater, Md.), Sammi Burgess (Forest Hill, Md.), Hannah Burnett (Huntington, N.Y.), Caroline Fitzgerald (Mt. Sinai, N.Y.), Hope Kissick (Cohasset, Ma.), Carli Marsh (Parkland, Fla.), Chloe O’Haire (Vero Beach, Fla.), Alex Puller (Severna Park, Md.) and Mollie Stevens (Centerville, Md.) will all be a part of the 2018 Florida lacrosse signing class. “We are very excited to welcome these 11 young ladies to the Gator Lacrosse program today,” Head coach Amanda O’Leary said. “We faced the task of replacing a very talented senior class and we believe this class is up to that challenge. This is a group which is ready to build upon the traditions already set at Florida.” The two Floridians and their bios are listed below. Carli Marsh, Parkland, Fla. Pine Crest High School, LaxManiax  Carli Marsh is a four-time first-team all-district and four-time first-team all-league selection from Pine Crest High School in Ft. Lauderdale. Marsh was also selected as the Rookie of the Year and played in the Under Armour Underclassmen Tournament on the Elite South Girls team. She helped Stoneman Douglas High School back-to-back undefeated seasons and earned two state championships (2010, 2011). As a sophomore, Marsh led the team in goals (91) and assists (22).  She also had one of the best performances in the nation last year, scoring 13 goals against Taravella (Fla.) on Mar. 20, 2012.  She transferred to Pine Crest last year. Marsh was also a first-team Sun Sentinel and first-team Miami Herald selection in 2012.  She was named one of ESPN’s Top 100 lacrosse juniors in 2012 also competed as a member of the South Florida National team where they competed in the WDNT tournaments from 2010-12. Chloe O’Haire, Vero Beach, Fla. Saint Edwards High School – LaxManiax Chloe O’Haire helped Vero Beach High School to district runner up finishes in 2009, 2010 and 2012. She was a member of the South Florida National team from 2010-11 and was an all-area first-team honoree in 2012.  She is a two-time second team all-league selection (2010-11), two-time second team midfielder (2009, 2011) and earned first-team midfield honors in 2010. O’Haire played club lacrosse with the LaxManiax (Black) for five years under head coach Sarah Burlingame.  She helped LaxManiax to Heatwave Champions and a second place finish in the Southern Alliance Tournament in 2012.  LaxManiax were also Wishbone Championship and O’Haire was named the TFG player for four years. Outside of lacrosse, O’Haire also participated in swimming and weightlifting.  She is a member of the National Honor Society and student council.  She was named a member of the Honors Council and named to the Honor Roll, Deans List and Head of School lists.  She earned the Excellence in History award in 2012 and was an AP Scholar.
