Former Moc Cameron Holding Gets Invite to Canadian National Team Try-Outs

OTTAWA, Ontario – Former Florida Southern men’s lacrosse player Cameron Holding was selected by the Canadian Lacrosse Association as one of 51 players competing for a spot on the Canadian National Men’s Field Lacrosse Team.

Holding, currently a member of the Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse League, played for the Moccasins in 2010 after two seasons at Grand Valley State University. He started all 13 games in his one season at FSC, scoring 44 goals and recording eight assists as the Mocs finished the season 4-9.
The 6-0 Transition player from Whitby, Ontario, Canada has appeared in 33 games and recorded six goals and 14 assists since joining the Mammoth in 2012. Holding was also a member of the Edmonton Rush in 2011, although he did not make any game appearances.
The Canadian National Team will hold their selection camp from October 11-14 on the campus of Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. The Canadian National team is among 40 national teams competing in the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championships held in Denver, Colo. from July 10-19.
