Travel day July 3rd “no ticket, wait what…”
“What do you mean I don’t have a ticket on this flight”? Just a little travel hiccup to start off the day at 6am in the Tampa airport no big deal. I guess somewhere along the lines of email, travel agents, and airlines the flights got mixed up…supposed to be on a US Airways flight at 655am but I ended up just making the Frontier airlines flight to Denver 823am depart…got on the plane at 810am, chalk it up as extra cardio for the games. Jokingly on the way to the airport with my ride we laughed about going to the wrong airport…well I guess wrong airline is close enough!
Arrived in Denver around 11am mountain time and was pick up by our team liason Clark Tallbull who is a Cheyenne native from Montana that lives in Denver, his family actually has a park named after them in the city which was cool to hear. After a lunch in downtown Denver we had to pick up our SUV’s and Vans for the week so we can travel in comfort while playing in the World Games. After a long day of waiting for team members to arrive from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse we made our way as a group to Vail Colorado for training camp. The rain and traffic was rough but I found a short cut through some old mining towns in the mountains which made the trip better. We ended up arriving at our condos in Vail around 12am so once we were settled in it was definitely time for bed. The squad is in good spirits and we are ready for our two sessions on the fourth of July. Ill check back soon! Happy fourth of July!
