FSC Men: Lison Named Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse

via press release – photo from FSC web site   BALTIMORE, MD – Florida Southern College men’s lacrosse sophomore Austen Lison has been named as a second-team preseason all-American by Inside Lacrosse, the publication announced on Wednesday. Lison started all 18 games for the Moccasins as a freshman, and collected 65 ground balls while forcing 28 turnovers as FSC’s long-stick midfielder. He ranked third in the Sunshine State Conference and 30th nationally in caused turnovers, helping the Mocs to a top-15 national ranking in caused turnovers per game (8.72). He collected at least five ground balls in five different games in 2016, and caused three or more turnovers in four contests. The Moccasins ranked sixth nationall in ground balls a year ago. Lison also finished the year with five total shots, four of which were on goal. Lison and the Mocs open the 2017 campaign at home against LIU Post on February 6. The squad will play a total of seven home games in their final season at Bryant Stadium. Florida Southern will move to the new Barnett Athletic Complex in 2018.
