FSU’s Quest For the 2015 MCLA National Championship Begins Now

He already knows that there’s a stellar freshman class coming in, including several high school All-Americans. Add that to the fact that FSU will have all 10 starters returning, including attackman, Will Goodman, who led the 2014 team in points with 39G/19A. Goodman was named an MCLA HM All-American last season. Not following too far behind was attackman Cole Lindquist, who was named the 2014 SELC Rookie of the Year. Lindquist contributed 40g/15a for the season. FSU also produced 5 All-SELC players: Goodman, Lindquist, Darby Brower (M), Andrew Kiggen (M), and Quint Bodine (D). 2014 was a talented team that went undefeated (11-0) in regular season for the first time in program history, and made it to the semifinals of the SELC playoffs. But Doyle knows it takes a lot more than talent to get to the MCLA National Championship. “Winning 2 titles as a player at Syracuse taught me how important full and total commitment must be from all involved: the coaching staff, the players, even down to our bus driver! I am planning on adding on to our coaching staff and have toughened up our spring schedule quite a bit. We’ll be playing Colorado (2014 MCLA National Champ), VA Tech (2014 MCLA Quarter Finalist), Colorado State (2013 MCLA National Champ), GA Tech, and Stanford. I expect strong leadership by our seniors and like last season will stress the importance of being a family – a family whose goal is to win the National Title in 2015.”
