Get to Know Addison Lutes, One of Florida’s Top Uncommitted Seniors
Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in Uncategorized.
You know the lax guys who belong at the next level – the ones who show up early, stay late, hit the wall, willingly accept coaching, never complain and are always smiling. You know Addison Lutes. A transplanted Floridian who started playing the game at a young age when he lived in Virginia, Addison has been a two year starter at attack for St. Andrew’s. This year he was in the top three on the team in goals, assists and points, and no stranger to traffic, Addison picked up 23 ground balls. If there is a secret about Addison, it is he possesses the athleticism to play midfield. He’s played attack at St. Andrew’s in large part because the Scots needed him there.
This spring Addison earned a spot on the Under Armour South team and will compete in the tournament next month. As this is being typed, he is representing Team Florida at Gait Cup in Gettysburg after showing well at Blue Chip. Northern coaches should understand Addison is a player who will make you proud, and he might just help you win a title.

AWL – Tenacious. I try to bring hard work and enthusiasm to every practice, game and event. My goal is to do the very best I’m capable of at all times striving for perfection.
FLN – What Was Your First Lacrosse Experience?
AWL – Mitch Belisle (Cornell All-American, Boston Cannons, Team USA, Trilogy Lacrosse) put a stick in my hand when I was five years old. He was in high school at the time and the first lacrosse game I saw was Mitch playing for Bourne High School. By the time I was six I was playing on my first team.
FLN – Who Was Your Biggest Lacrosse Influence?
AWL – I’ve had a lot of great influences thanks in part to playing in different states. Mitch Belisle introduced me to lacrosse in Massachusetts. In Virginia, I was influenced by a tireless group of volunteers with the Stafford Manahoacs, many with USMC backgrounds. When I moved to Florida, Coaches Geoff Swinerton and Rich Barba with the Weston Warriors were absolutely fantastic. In high school, Coaches Casey Powell, Neil McAdorey, RJ Dawson and Jeff Goldberg have all guided and directed me. But if I had to pick just one I’d say my teammates.
