Above – Griff Caligiuri Celebrates His Score LHP vs St Andrews 2014 – Photo courtesy of Enstone Images We are going to profile some of our top uncommitted players in the state over the next few weeks.  These players are out there hitting the recruiting trail this summer and it’s always great to see them and and get to know a lithe about them.  The first young man we contacted is a two time state champion and we think he is one of the top D-poles in the state.  Actually, I’m surprised he doesn’t have a stack of offers about three feet high. At 6’3″, rising Lake Highland Prep senior Griff Caligiuri, has the length  that can get a coaches attention.  Add to that his big game experience against some of the state’s best attackman and you can see why we think Griff is one one of the top uncommitted defensemen in Florida right now.  Griff will certainly be a pre-season favorite for 2015 All American as he attempts to lead the Highlanders back to another state title. In the 2014 season he faced Division 1 commits in seven games this season and had stellar performances every time.  He’s a big time player who had his best games at the right time.  He caused an amazing 41 turnovers this season and picked up over 80 ground balls. You can see some of it on his highlight video for the 2014 season.   We asked Griff a little about himself. Name: Griff Caligiuri LHP-Calliguari-414Position: Defense Height: 6’3 Weight: 175
