thanks to the players on the Launch for filling out a questionnaire for the fans to get to know them better!   Name:  Chris Mattes   Position: FO/M College:  Rutgers Year Turned Pro: 2011   How did you get your start in Lacrosse? I started lacrosse in 3^rd grade after I stopped playing baseball.  I realized how slow baseball was and I need something to do where I could run around and hit guys.  A guy by the name of Mike Downer got me into lacrosse at the Westfield Lacrosse Club.   What players did you watch growing up that you most wanted to play like? John Flanagan…growing up near Rutgers I always went to their camp and John was someone I watched and looked up to.  Now to this day we are close friends.  Then once I started to faceoff I watched and got coached by John Henry Flood (played for Harvard and Bayhawks)   Why did you pick the college you attended? I loved the location of Rutgers (closer to home in NJ) along with the overall size and the other athletic programs they had including football and basketball.   What is your favorite memory of playing a game? I would say my junior year when we played Notre Dame for the first time at ND and beat them the same year they went to the National Championship   What is the one thing you most want to accomplish in the sport that you haven’t done yet? Win a Championship with Florida and play in All Star Weekend
