Gulf Coast Senior Attackman, Austin Miller, Headed to University of Cumberlands

Austin Miller, a senior attackman at Gulf Coast HS in Naples, has committed to the University of Cumberlands. UC competes in the NAIA, but will play NCAA D2 and MCLA schedule.  Miller, a Senior transfer and two year starter at Barron Collier adds to an already potent Sharks Offense.  In his three years at BC, Miller was named All County and All Area (2013 & 2014) and was a major contributor to the Cougars two Elite 8 runs.  Miller attended Jake Reed Nike Blue Chip, Blue Chip 225, Brine All American Classic and was named to the StudentSports 2015 Watch List. Austin Miller WWLThe Hard Shooting Cincinnati transplant had numerous DI to DIII offers but chose the Small NAIA School in Southern Kentucky.  “The minute I stepped onto the campus I knew I was home. I bonded immediately with the other recruits and Coach Campbell, plus it is 3 hours from home and a beautiful place.”  Miller will study Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Forensics. UC Coach Pete Campbell, “Austin is a great addition to our new program at UC. He is athletic and has the potential to be a big goal scorer for our team. As we add other direct payday loan companies great pieces around him, our program will grow into one known throughout the country.” Gulf Coast Coach and former MLL player, Joe Meyer had this to say about him, “”It has been a pleasure getting to know Austin.  His work ethic is Tenacious.  Austin brings a hard work ethic and enthusiasm to every practice, game and event.  As a coach, you love having those players on your team who go all-out to prove his capability of striving for perfection at all times.” Miller’s primary club’s were Team Florida and FCA.  He also played for Beast Lacrosse, Rhinos, Orlando Elite, Wounded Warrior, Madlax, Xtreme, Miami Elite (Mahi) and the LI Jesters. “I would like to thank my teammates and coaches Joe Meyer, Ralph Quillen, Terry Crowley, Jim Piggot and the Coaches for Team Flo and FCA. Thank you for your guidance and direction.   Most of all, I want to thank my Dad, Ron Miller for teaching me everything I know about Lacrosse.
