Henry Heide Scores Six To Lead Dwyer in Upset Over Columbus 16-4

The Dwyer Panthers Dominated the Columbus Catholic Explorers Friday night at Dwyer High School. Nick Calabria scored off a feed from the opening face off and they never looked back. After a tough loss to Jensen beach Tuesday, the Panthers came out ready to play. They scored 8 goals the first quarter and had a 13-2 lead at the half. Henry Heide led all scores with 6 goals with some blistering outside shots.. Nick Calabria added 4 goals and three assists. Lucas Moore and Alex Haire chipped in 3 and 2 goals a piece. Defensively, Dwyer handled the Columbus offense with their trio of Matt Misquith, Austin Paxson and Danny Pagano. Combined, they had 14 forced turn overs and 11 ground balls. Pagano added two assists. Goalie Charlie Coudert had a great night in the cage with 15 saves. Kyle Glaser had 2 goals for Columbus. Michael Bulnes and Sebi Cancio each added one a piece. Dwyer is away next week for only the second time this season traveling to Vero Beach Tuesday and Suncoast on Thursday.
