Thanks to Tony from Summerlin for the submission!   Summerlin Academy wins its’ season opener on a cold Tuesday night against Newsome, led by the scoring of Christian Waters and Nathan Fort both with 5 goals and 2 assists. After taking an 8-5 lead at halftime Summerlin was able to pull away in the second half and defeat Newsome 19-9 in the conference season opener. Spencer Chase also contributed to the scoring with 2 goals and 3 assists of his own and Dukene Jean Maurice (DK) scored 3 goals with 2 assists. The next game for Summerlin will be a FL South conference match-up in Sarasota Friday night at 8 and Newsome will take on Wharton on Feb 18 at home.   Writer’s Note:  That’s also a pretty cool logo!  Maybe we need to have a contest for school lax logos??
