Jacksonville, the four-time defending ASUN regular season champions, opens its season with eight-straight home contests beginning with Ohio State on Feb. 12. We open up with Ohio State, UMASS, and Florida, and have top-20 Stony Brook as well,” said McCord. After a visit from the Scotland national team and a clash with Sunshine State rival Florida, a slew of northern programs and Davidson make their way to the Bold City before ASUN play begins at Old Dominion on Mar. 24. In home conference games, the Dolphins host Detroit Mercy, Central Michigan, Mercer, and Kennesaw State. “We look forward to opening the home portion of the schedule against Detroit Mercy and try to come back and prove ourselves against them after knocking us out of the tournament last year,” said McCord. The ASUN championship is from May 4-7 at D.B. Milne Field. “We’re thrilled to host the conference tournament. Our conference is on the rise, and the growth is extraordinary,” said McCord. “I’m proud of the ASUN for giving teams the opportunity to compete for an automatic bid and grow the sport. The teams are getting stronger and more competitive. “Our motto this year is ‘All In’, and we are trying to find players to lead and know that regardless of role, that every player is all in, and I think we have that right now.”
