Jeanie Waina Joins FloridaLacrosseNews.com as Vice President of Sales and Marketing

FLN is pleased to announce Jeanie Waina joined the Lacrosse News Network as Vice President of Sales and Marketing in January 2015. She is also a member of the Executive Board of Directors for Delray Beach Athletic Club. Jeanie actively works as a community liaison and advocate for youth lacrosse programs throughout South Florida and has been involved locally in supporting the game from youth through mens’ for the past 13 years and many of you aleady know her. She was the first female board member for the Boca Jets Youth Lacrosse program in their inaugural season in 2004 and is excited to see how South Florida youth lacrosse has grown from those early days. It’s her dream that every child who would like to participate will have the ability to play lacrosse.
Jeanie has been a small business consultant for the past ten years. Her scope of practice specializes in business development both operationally and through sales and marketing strategies. Prior to becoming a consultant, she was tenured in corporate business to business sales. She had a successful career at the Bureau of National Affairs where she was challenged to sell case, regulatory and interpretive legal publications to practicing accountants, attorneys and law firms throughout Miami. Prior to that she had a very successful career at Philip Morris, USA where she was the top performing Territory Sales Manager within the company for several years. Philip Morris, at that time, was the most profitable company in the world.
Jeanie is originally from Mt. Lebanon, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, known for their power house sports and known for producing some of the world’s most successful people such as Dallas Mavericks owner, Mark Cuban and Olympic gold medalist and professional wrestler, Kurt Angle. She played varsity soccer beginning her freshman year and also lettered in wrestling as an athletic trainer. After graduation she attended Robert Morris University for three years until she relocated to Florida where she became a graduate of Florida Atlantic University with a Bachelor’s in Business and Marketing. Jeanie currently resides in Boca Raton. She is engaged to Stephan Claren, architect and owner of Claren Architecture + design. She has one son, Shane, who is an avid lacrosse player and student at Oxbridge Academy of the Palm Beaches.
