Jacksonville, Fla.- Senior Bobby Stockton scored four goals off the bench but Georgetown capitalized on a fast start and key faceoff wins as the JU men’s lacrosse team lost, 15-12, to the 15th-ranked Hoyas in the inaugural  Moe’s Southwest Grill Sunshine Classic at EverBank Field.  Stockton tallied four goals and collected four ground balls and three other Dolphins finished with multi-goal games. But JU dropped to 0-1 in front of 8,152 fans. The game, played at the home of the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, was the largest crowd in the two-year history of the Dolphins program.  Travis Comeau, Davey Emala and Zack Angel each registered hat tricks for the nationally ranked Hoyas (1-0).  JU cut the deficit to 12-11 on the last of Owen Green’s two goals with 10 minutes left in the fourth quarter.  Georgetown then scored three of the last four goals to secure the win. Angel and Comeau added back-to-back close-range goals just 1:51 apart. JU fired its last salvo when sophomore middie Cameron Mann scored unassisted to bring the Dolphins within 14-12 at 2:53.  Yet Angel’s hard shot at 1:57 extended Georgetown’s edge to three to wrap up a victory in the first all-time meeting between the schools.  The Hoyas jumped to a 5-0 lead just 10:13 in; boosted by Comeau’s first two scoring strikes.  But JU gave the home fans more to cheer about than just the 75 degree weather and sunshine. The Dolphins roared back for five straight goals in a 5:49 span to tie it. Sophomore attacker TJ Kenary opened JU’s scoring barrage with a man-advantage goal and added an even-strength marker.  Georgetown finished with a 19-12 edge in faceoffs while JU had trouble hitting the cage with its shots. The Dolphins bombarded the Hoyas cage with 52 total shots but put just 21 on goal.   Mann, who was named to the preseason All-Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference team, racked up two goals and three assists for a game-high five-point afternoon.   Georgetown goalkeeper Jack Davis was up to the task of facing Mann and the rest of the JU defense, making nine saves. The Hoyas supported Davis with a pair of man-up goals, preventing the Dolphins from the winning its first season-opener in program history. Notre Dame beat Duke, 12-7, in the second game of the doubleheader. The Fighting Irish (1-0) scored fifth fourth-quarter goals in a rematch of the 2010 national championship game.    Unlike in the previous contest, the defending-champion Blue Devils could not come out on top, dropping to 1-1.
