Our attack played with poise against their pressuring defense.” Della Rocca led Jacksonville with five goals, going 3-3 in free position shots. Four other Dolphins scored the additional nine goals led by Holly Ventimiglia and Rachel Aus with three goals each. “Danielle is as good as any attacker could be and she had a great game,” said Coach McCord. After missing the past two games, Orashen, who had two goals and three draw controls in the game, wasted little time getting back in the action scoring the first goal of the game less than four minutes into the contest.  Orashen’s goal started a 7-1 opening spurt for the Dolphins that lasted the first 17 minutes. The first half lead grew to 8-1 four minutes later before Jacksonville ended the half with a 10-3 leading following Della Rocca’s fifth goal in the final seconds. The wet and rainy night continued into the second half, but did little to slow down Jacksonville which opened the stanza with a Ventimiglia goal five minutes in. ODU answered just 3:11 later, but the Dolphins defense would do the rest holding the Monarchs scoreless over the final 22 minutes. Asia Moore added five saves in goal for Jacksonville which closes out its three-game road swing at A-Sun opponent Howard on Sunday, March 29 at Noon.   Bridgette Gale Athletic Media Relations Assistant Jacksonville University (o):(904)-256-7761 (c): (904)-599-0801
