JU Women: Dolphins Back in Action Wednesday Hosting Campbell

Milne Field on Wednesday when the Dolphins host Big South Conference (Big South) member Campbell at 7 p.m. ET. The action is set to air live on judolphins.com. Danielle Della Rocca poured in four goals and as many assists in the 12-goal triumph. Della Rocca’s eight points tied for second most in a game in school history, trailing only her record of nine accomplished five times. She also picked up five ground balls. Jacksonville posted season-highs in shots (33) and draw controls (13). Jaime Chapman and Lillie Miller each finished with two goals, while Amelia PedwellKelly LacyRachel AusErin McGuireHannah WilcoxAshtyn Hiron and Caitlin McMahon scored one apiece. Wilcox and Aus each dished out two assists, while Chapman, Lacy and Hiron each had one. Hiron was picked up five ground balls, won four draw controls and caused four turnovers. Chapman, Lacy, Megan Curley and Erika Brager each picked up two ground balls. Pedwell and Brager each won two draw controls. Brager caused four turnovers, while Miller forced two. Kaylyn Kearns stopped four shots in 52:50. Mariah Cudlipp had one save in 7:10. Jacksonville outshot Coastal Carolina (33-12), picked up seven more ground balls (21-14) and won nine more draw controls (13-4). The Dolphins were 10-of-12 on clear attempts. About Campbell Campbell’s Loren Day matched her program-best mark of seven goals in a 21-13 loss at VCU on March 6. Day’s seven scores tied the most goals for a single-game at Campbell, matching her own mark. It was the third time in her career that she hit that tally. Erica Hitch and Kayla Reilly recorded three points each for the Camels. Hitch had a pair of goals and an assist, while Reilly assisted on two goals and found the back of the cage once. Annie Pazulski recorded two points on a goal and assist. VCU broke a 3-all tie with nine-straight goals in the first half and led 15-4 at the break. The Camels have lost eight-straight road games and 11 of the last 12.   ‘Fin Facts The Green and White are hosting a member of the Big South for the third-straight contest. The Dolphins are 1-1 this season against members of the Big South, having defeated Coastal Carolina but lost to Winthrop. Jacksonville is 51-18 all-time at home. The Dolphins are 19-4 all-time against current members of the Big South. Jacksonville is tied for the lead in the Atlantic Sun Conference (A-Sun) in assists (20). Pedwell has recorded at least one point in three-straight games. Della Rocca has scored four goals in two of four contests this season and has 10 career games of four or more goals. The Dolphins are 51-18 all-time at home. Della Rocca is tied for second in the A-Sun in points (14) and tied for third in goals (10). Della Rocca has scored at least one point in 18-straight games and 23 of her last 24. Della Rocca is 17 goals shy of breaking the all-time A-Sun record of 105 set by former teammate Holly Ventimiglia. Della Rocca ranks fifth in school history with 89 goals and is 11 shy of passing former teammate and current Dolphin assistant coach Brittney Orashen for fourth. (Note: Jacksonville was not a member of the A-Sun in 2012 during Orashen’s and Ventimiglia’s freshmen seasons and does not include career goals from that season in their conference totals.)
