LakePoint, Ga. – Jacksonville University’s Ashtyn Hiron earned this week’s ASUN Conference Women’s Lacrosse Player of the Week honors, announced Tuesday by the league office.
Hiron collects her first career ASUN Player of the Week award, after previously garnering two defensive weekly honors in her Dolphin career. The junior middie from Australia was all over the field against preseason No. 15-ranked UMass on Sunday. She scored a career-high five goals on only seven shots, while also showing off her two-way skills with four caused turnovers. The speedy middie added three draw controls and a ground ball as her play kept the Dolphins toe-to-toe with a ranked opponent.
