Time is running out on the regular season and if teams are going to make a move now is the time. Jupiter moved up this week as did Saint Andrew’s and Lake Highland dropped a spot as did Ponte Vedra.
1 – St. Thomas Aquinas has the top spot as they have all year. The Raiders certainly have their eyes set on another final four appearance and have yet to be truly tested. Nobody has come close since the 11-10 win over Lake Highland in week one of the season. They bested South Plantation and held off a strong Lake Mary team 12-6 during the voting week. They have since beaten Boca Raton as well.
Jupiter moves up to #2 – Are the peaking at just the right time?
2 – Jupiter continued their climb up the rankings this week all the way to number 2 spot. After defeating Ponte Vedra on the 13th the Warriors followed it up with wins over Martin County and top ten team Barron Collier. (They also defeated Benjamin last night.) Jupiter is on the move and will have a chance to earn the top ranking when they face current #1 St. Thomas Aquinas on April 2nd.
Saint Andrews has been the big mover the last two weeks
3 – Lake Highland Prep fell one spot after getting upset by a rising St. Andrew’s team last Saturday. They followed that up with a win over Timber Creek. The Highlanders finish up the regular season with a game against Lake Brantley on Friday and they take on top ten teams Lake Mary and Ponte Vedra next week.
Ponte Vedra fell two spots during spring break
4- St. Andrew’s is now up to number 4 after upending both Jupiter and Lake Highland Prep. The Scotts finish up their regular season tomorrow night as they Travel to Pope John Paul II.
5- Ponte Vedra took a week off and fell from two spots as both Jupiter and SA moved up the list. PV had a great OT win over Bishop Moore last night and finishes up the regular season with St. Augustine, Fleming Island, and Lake Highland Prep.
6- Lake Mary continues to hover in the middle of our list. This week in at number six after falling to our number one team last week.
7 – Douglas moved up to number 7 this week as they beat Ransom Everglades 9-5 and took care of business against Taravella. Douglas has only lost to number 2 Jupiter this season.
8- Vero Beach swapped spots with Douglas this week dropping a spot despite being on a six game win streak. They have a great chance to move up some spots with number 2 Jupiter on the schedule next week.
9 – Seminole moves up from number 10 to 9 this week after Barron Collier dropped a spot. Seminole is on a four game win streak that includes wins over Dr. Phillips, Winter Park, and Hagerty. They are 9-2 on the season.
10- Barron Collier fell to our number 2 Jupiter Warriors and dropped a spot in the poll this week. The finish up the season with games against Lambert and Milton at the Florida/Georgia games coming up next week.
