In the District 28 Championship game Cypress Bay looked to be on the doorstep of victory with a 7-5 lead with three minutes left in the game. Nick Millberry scored for Archbishop McCarthy to bring the game to within one at 7-6.  However, Cypress Bay answered back a minute later to stretch their lead back to two. Kori Beck would come right back off of the face off to bring Archbishop McCarthy back to within one.  He then scored the game tying goal with 40 seconds left and forced overtime. Beck then finished the job for Archbishop McCarthy in overtime to win the championship.
