Lacrosse for Special Needs Registration – February 28th and March 21st

  Special Announcement    Lacrosse for Special Needs Registrations will be accepted for individuals in Kindergarten through age 22 years with special needs who would like to learn and play the amazing game of lacrosse.   When: February 28, 2015 and March 21, 2015 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm for both days Where: University School of NSU Field A and B Details: Jada Preston, a ninth grade girls lacrosse varsity player at University School applied for a grant to obtain lacrosse equipment. She wanted to share her love of the game of lacrosse with special needs individuals and give them an opportunity to play with their peers. The Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation, who has generously donated sticks, balls, and goals was eager to partner with Jada and bring this experience to all of the participants in an effort to promote the game of lacrosse as well as teach all participants that, regardless of ability, EVERYONE contributes to the success of a group. As part of their effort to give back to the community, the University School of NSU boys program, has partnered with Jada, and will be sharing their knowledge of the game of lacrosse with these special players. There will be a “Welcome Breakfast”, a Skills and Drills Camp, several games, and a “Thank you Lunch” for parents and players.
