Photo by Roger Farwell at Enstone Images Feb. 20th – Lake Highland (2-0; 0-0 District 11) started slowly and fell behind 4-1 to the hosts Sharks of Ponte Vedra tonight before reeling off eight straight goals and holding Ponte Vedra scoreless for nearly 35 minutes from midway through the first quarter until midway through the fourth.  The Highlanders controlled the pace of play much of the game as a result of great face-off work by Junior Max Parker and stellar goalie play from Junior Adam Sawicki.  In the fourth quarter, Ponte Vedra scored twice but time expired before they could completely close the gap. Lake Highland was led in scoring by Senior Attackman Clay Phillips with four goals on the evening while Senior Attackman Billy Roll contributed two. The Highlanders return home on Saturday to face Jupiter High and Ponte Vedra faces Pedro Menendez at home on Friday.
