Lake Highland Rolls Past Boone 16-2

Mar. 5th – Lake Highland (3-2; 1-0 District 11) opened District 11 play this evening with a convincing 16-2 victory over the visiting Boone HS Braves. Senior Attack Clay Phillips (committed to Boston University) set a school record with nine goals in just over one half of the game including seven in the deciding second quarter. Senior Midfielder Devon Lewis (committed to Georgetown) added two goals and two assists and Senior Attack Billy Roll contributed one goal and four assists. LHP had 25 shots on goal while Junior Goalie Adam Sawicki (committed to Lehigh University) and Junior Goalie Alex Acuna stopped a combined five of seven Boone shots on goal. The Boone goals were scored by Brooks Onderick and Brad Connelly. The Highlanders next travel to South Florida on Saturday evening to face the pre-season #1 team in the country, Boys Latin from Baltimore, MD.
