via Launch web site   The Florida Launch are in search of their second straight win at home this Saturday against the Charlotte Hounds. The Launch defeated the Denver Outlaws 19-16 last week to capture the team’s first victory of the season. Florida’s Kieran McArdle leads the team with 24 points including 4 goals in the last meeting with Charlotte. The Launch seem to have found a balance that eluded them in the early part of the season. Offensively, Kieran McArdle has been the most reliable option alongside Connor Buczek’s league-high tying 4 two-point goals and Owen Blye’s terrific .545 shooting percentage. Blye is coming off a 5 goal performance against Denver that earned him Coca-Cola Player of the Game honors. The attack is proving to be more cohesive than in previous weeks and looks to keep that momentum rolling.   Launch Tucker Durkin 2016   Florida fell by just two goals in their last game with the Hounds. With major adjustments on the defensive end, the Launch are in much better shape than they were in the trip to Charlotte. Matt Landis, the third overall pick in the MLL Draft, made his debut against the Outlaws. Landis fills a void left by Ken Clausen’s season ending injury in a front that features one of the league’s best defenders, All-Star Tucker Durkin. Durkin and Landis will be tasked with slowing down Charlotte’s Joey Sankey (27 points) and Mike Chanenchuk (23 points). As for the opposition, the Hounds are 4-3 due in part to Sankey’s 15 goals and some solid goaltending from Charlie Cipriano. The key for the Launch will be to slow the attack down and force contested shots. Charlotte has struggled as they have posted the league’s third worst shooting line of .278 through 7 games. The Launch will need to shoot early and often to control the tempo as they did against the Outlaws. Faceoff for the game will be at 7:00pm this Saturday, June 18.
