Little Movement In Coaches Top 10 Poll for Week Ending March 23rd

The Top Ten Coaches Poll is brought to you by Team Florida this season. Entering its 9th year, the Florida Elite Showcase has placed more players in top level college lacrosse programs than any other club travel team. The Team Florida Summer Showcase will take place May 10-11 at it’s new home in Palm Coast this year.
Registration is now open.
Here are the results of our fifth weekly Coaches Poll. A record 19 teams received at least one Top 10 vote! Good luck to the teams as the season goes on and thanks to the coaches who took the time to participate!
Please note that the voters were taking into account the games ended Sunday, March 23rd, so the games of this week are not going to be reflected until next week’s polls. Also, there were votes for IMG. Neither IMG National or IMG Varsity currently are eligible for FHSAA playoffs so we please ask the coaches to refrain from voting for them until IMG decides to be a full-time varsity program that will compete in the same fashion as the teams that are normally voted on here.
There was no move among the Top 4 teams but then it got interesting as Boca Raton suffered two one-goal road losses and the Lake Brantley issue came up. As long as the inquiry is not finalized as far as record is concerned we will still list LB’s record as is. The situation was reflected in that Lake Brantley received a first place vote but they were also left off ballots too, so there is a difference in how they were treated this week.
Jupiter was off the past week so they did not have anything to work for or against. LHP showed very well against the MIAA and also defeated St. Thomas Aquinas at home. Barron Collier handled Oxbridge at home and Ponte Vedra easily dispatched Creekside so none of the teams showed much movement, although LHP did narrow the gap with Jupiter over the previous week.
So, without further ado, here is the Coaches Poll for the seek ending 3/23/2014:
Other teams receiving votes:
IMG
Lake Mary
Jensen Beach
Seminole
Gulf Coast
Melbourne Central Catholic
Maclay
Pope John Paul II
Oviedo
Good luck to all the teams and this week will definitely see some movement as we start to see the final stretch in sight and teams jockey for District seedings. This season is WIDE OPEN and the playoffs will be great to watch!
