Since the league formed in 2014, Kingsbury becomes just the second SSC Coach of the Year following the biggest turn around in conference history. After finishing just 1-10 overall and 0-5 in the league during its inaugural season, Kingsbury coached Lynn to an 8-6 regular season record and 2-3 league slate while clinching the #4 seed in the conference tournament. Rainone, a junior attack from Lynnbrook, N.Y., set program records in goals (40), points (52) and hat tricks (10) for a single season. He set a conference record for consecutive hat tricks when he began 2015 by logging at least three goals in his first ten games as a Fighting Knight. He currently ranks 18th in the country for goals per game (2.62). McDonald was selected as the first Defensive Player of the Week in program history earlier in the season. The Cicero, N.Y., product becomes the first defensemen to earn post-season honors for the Blue & White, where he caused a team-high 16 turnovers and snagged 14 ground balls.
