thanks to Coach Kelly Buikus for this press release   4/28/15 AVE MARIA, Fla. – – Head Coach Kelly Buikus is pleased to announce the signing of midfielder, Mackenzie Tourville from Annapolis, Maryland. Tourville is a four year letter winner at Saint Mary’s Ryken where she was named All-County in 2014 and a team captain for her senior season. Tourville intends to study Biology/Pre-Med track while at Ave Maria. Tourville played her club lacrosse with the JETS, which is based out of Southern Maryland. “Mackenzie will provide us with a lot of depth in the midfield. She has great stick skills and a tremendous lacrosse IQ. She is a great student, and is a great addition to our 2016 roster”, said Kelly Buikus. Tourville decided to come to Ave Maria because she felt that it was a perfect fit for her academically, spiritually and athletically and that she will be pushed both in the classroom and on the field. “Even though it’s a brand new program, it has a ton of promise. The coaching staff and all of the girls are so welcoming, and I feel as though I’ll have a lot of fun and learn a lot playing at Ave. I’m so excited to be apart of such a great team for the next four year”, said Tourville when asked about the lacrosse program.
