Mandarin Rallies to Drop Lincoln 10-8

The Mustangs rallied from an early 2-6 deficit to beat the Trojans 10-8. Mandarin had a run of seven straight unanswered goals. Junior attackman Johnny Dister scored four goals and had one assist.  Senior middie Blake Weil scored twice and won 15 of 17 face-offs. Senior attackman Bryce Mullins scored 2 goals and sophomore Casey Connell had two goals. Solid second half defensive effort to hold Lincoln to only 2 goals in the 4th quarter. Defense lead by senior Igor Pertile,  junior Justin Curtis, and freshman Tyler Charpentier. Wyatt Schmookler led all Lincoln scorers with 4 goals.  Martin Chaves had three goals and Austin Burroughs added one goal. Lincoln’s defense and solid goalie Ryan Thomas held the Mustangs to 2 goals in the first quarter. Mandarin moves to 3-0 and have outscored opponents 32-16 in their impressive start.  Lincoln is now 0-2.
