Memory Lane . . . Seattle Seahawks Rookie RB Alex Collins Has A Lacrosse Past!

photo from The Seattle Times   Those NFL fans who tuned into last week’s Seattle-Arizona game might have noticed that after Seahawk’s starting RB Thomas Rawls went down with a shoulder injury that a rookie out of Arkansas named Alex Collins came in and contributed nicely in a losing effort. South Florida football fans remember Alex Collins as a star recruit out of South Plantation High School and really strong fans remember the drama of the National Letter of Intent Day when his Mom refused to sign the NLI to Arkansas because she wanted him to play close to home. But sharp lacrosse fans in the area also remember that Alex also played lacrosse at South Plantation and when he committed that day we ran a story about the NLI signing and embedded his lacrosse video in the article. Here’s that video!  Wow, if only he developed his other hand . . .     Here’s the link to the original article http://fln.mattplu.com/south-plantations-alex-collins-finishes-signing-to-play-football-for-arkansas/   We’ve sent a request to the Seahawks organization to see if they and Alex would do an interview with FLN on his experiences and if he still follows the sport!
