BOSTON (June 19, 2017) – Boston Cannons goalie Tyler Fiorito was named the Warrior Defensive Player of the Week for Week 9. Fiorito and the Cannons became just the second team to beat the Outlaws this season in a 16-9 win.

Warrior Offensive Player of the Week: Joe Walters
BOSTON (June 19, 2017) – New York Lizards midfielder Joe Walters was named the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week for Week 9. Walters and the Lizards snapped a three-game losing streak with a 13-12 win against Rochester on Saturday night.
Walters, 32, scored a season-high six points, with four goals and two assists. His goal midway through the fourth quarter tied the score at 12 and then he picked up the assist on Dave Lawson’s game-winning goal with under a minute to play in regulation. It marked his most points in a game since he had seven points on July 2 last season while playing for Chesapeake against New York. A two-time Steinfeld Trophy winner, Walters is currently tied with Paul Rabil for the most points on the team this season at 24.
Walters is the first Lizards player to win the Warrior Offensive Player of the Week in 2017.
