Cascade Rookie of the Week: Jake Froccaro

BOSTON (June 19, 2017) – Chesapeake Bayhawks midfielder Jake Froccaro was named the Cascade Rookie of the Week for Week 9. After a comeback in the second half, the Bayhawks fell to the Charlotte Hounds 15-14 on Friday night.

In the second game of his rookie season, the 23-year-old Froccaro scored three goals, the first of which marked the first goal of his professional career. He tallied one assist in his debut last week at Rochester. The Villanova product was Chesapeake’s first-round pick (No. 7 overall) in the 2017 MLL Collegiate Draft.

Froccaro’s teammate, Josh Byrne, earned Cascade Rookie of the Week honors last week.
