Nease Names Patrick Harnett Head Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach

Matt McCool, Nease High School Athletic Director, announced today Patrick Harnett as Head Boys’ Varsity Lacrosse Coach. Coach Harnett is well known in the North Florida lacrosse community and has extensive experience as a player and coach at all levels of the game. A native of Worthington, Ohio, Coach Harnett played his college lacrosse at DI Hofstra University under current Duke University Head Coach John Danowski. 

In 2009, Coach Harnett joined Florida’s very first NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse staff as an inaugural staff member of the Jacksonville University Men’s Lacrosse Program. Harnett served as an assistant coach at Jacksonville University from 2009 to 2011 under the leadership of current Cornell University Head Coach Matt Kerwick. He also served as an assistant coach for the Professional Indoor Lacrosse Franchise Jacksonville Bullies. 

Coach Harnett joins the Nease High School Boys’ Lacrosse Program following 3 successful seasons as Program Director and Varsity Head Coach for Episcopal School of Jacksonville where he lead the Eagles to 3 consecutive District Championships and 3 consecutive FHSAA Final Round of 16 appearances, including a Final Round of 8 appearance in 2012. Harnett is currently a Managing Director for LB3 Lacrosse, one of the nation’s premiere instructional lacrosse organizations.
