Mercer
The Showcase is held at Mercer’s top notch facilities
The three-day event offers players the chance to live the life of a Division I lacrosse player through college-style practices and workouts. They’ll be exposed to box lacrosse training with U.S. Box Lacrosse Association CEO and Denver assistant coach Matt Brown, who helped the Pioneers to a national championship this spring. There will also be a recruiting seminar and a leadership seminar. Southern Showcase Camp co-directors Peter Lawrence and Kyle Hannan, the head coaches at Hartford and Mercer, respectively, lead a passionate staff of college coaches dedicated to helping players improve their game. Additional coaches from North Carolina, Penn, Albany, Drexel, Furman, High Point, Jacksonville and Vermont will also be on staff. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from these coaches, as well as gain exposure to top Division I schools. 2017 and 2018 Fab 40 All-Stars will gain automatic admission to the prestigious Philly Showcase, the top-ranked recruiting event in the country. 2019 Fab 40 All-Stars earn a guaranteed spot in the Philly Freshman Showcase, which has quickly developed into November’s must-attend event for freshmen. “Our Philly Showcase Camps quickly established themselves as a great event for players to attend where they could learn from and be exposed to high-level coaches,” Director of Showcase Lacrosse Brett Manney said. “We had more than 30 schools come out to last year’s event, including more than 20 Division I schools, and we feel that bringing an event like this to the South is beneficial to many of the talented lacrosse players in an emerging area like the South. They usually have to travel to hotbeds like Philly or Baltimore to be seen, but this brings that experience to them. We couldn’t be more grateful for Mercer University and Coach Kyle Hannan’s support and we’re excited to see so many of the best players in the South at Mercer’s top-of-the-line facilities.” Follow Showcase Lacrosse on Twitter (twitter.com/nxt_showcase), Facebook (facebook.com/nxtshowcaselacrosse) and Instagram (instagram.com/nxt_showcase).
