BOXSCORE  GAME RECAP DENVER (August 12, 2017) – The Outlaws qualified for the MLL Championship Game for the seventh time in franchise history after a 15-8 win over the Rattlers on Saturday at Peter Barton Stadium in the MLL Semi-Finals.  The Outlaws have won two of the last three MLL Championships, including last year when they beat Ohio for their second title.  The teams were deadlocked at 3-3 after Ty Thompson scored for the Rattlers 42 seconds into the second quarter, but Denver responded with three straight goals prior to the half.  Just as the teams went to the locker room, lightning struck in the area of the stadium and the halftime was extended by nearly an hour as the storm passed through. After the extended intermission, Thompson scored his third goal of the game, but the Outlaws came back with nine straight goals.  Jordan MacIntosh and Michael Lazore each scored two-point goals late, but the game was already out of reach.    PLAYERS OF NOTE Matt Kavanagh had six assists, four of which came in the fourth quarter.  Eric Law had a team-high three goals and added an assist. He now has 21 goals and seven assists in six career playoff games.  Rochester’s leading scorer, Jordan Wolf was held pointless for the first time this season.  Drew Simoneau won 18 of 25 faceoffs for the Rattlers (72%).
