Grant Preston has given his verbal commitment and applied for admission to W&L in Lexington, VA next year. The 2014 Plant High School Defenseman intends to take his 4.0 unweighted GPA to one of the countries top universities; Washington and Lee.
Grant plays club lacrosse for the Tampa Fire and is a member of Team Florida.
Preston’s intended major is either economics or political science. He expressed his deep appreciation for the help of his teammates, Coach John Shaw from Plant, LHP’s Coach Spaulding for his help, and special thanks to coaches Craig Lepiane, Dave DiSciorio, Bob Dance, Mike Ryder, and especially Bill Shatz from the Fire.
“Above all else,” he said, “I want to thank my family for their support, and God, without whom I wouldn’t have this incredible opportunity. I’m beyond excited to go play for Coach McCabe.”
