Ponte Vedra tops Bishop Moore in regular season finale.

Ponte Vedra controlled the game from the outset, out shooting the Hornets 10-4 in the first quarter and finishing the first frame with a 3-1 lead.  The rest of the game was much the same as PV limited Bishop Moore to one goal in each quarter and finished the game with a solid 14-4 victory over a solid Bishop Moore team. 
PV's Matt Jones scored twice
Brendan Francis led the Sharks in with 2 goals and 4 assists and Mike Power added 4 goals of his own.  Matt Jones (2), Austin de Rozier (1), Anthony Pradella (1), Pat Carney (1), Scott Applegate (1), Lars Anderson (1), and Dalton LeMaster (1) also scored goals for Ponte Vedra.  Marcus Dunlap and Nick Freeman both added assists.  Addison Lanpher scored a goal and 2 assists to lead Bishop Moore in points.  Matt Catan scored twice and Jordan Givanetti scored a goal.  Luke Liberty and Jack Tangeman both dished out assists in the game.

Ponte Vedra finished the regular season on a tear winning 15 straight games, not having lost since the season opening game against Lake Highland Prep on Feb 25th.   Bishop Moore finished the regular season at 10-7.  Both of these teams had schedules stacked with some of the best competition the state has to offer and will head into this week’s play-offs having proven they can run with the top teams in Florida.

Bishop Moore will take on Olympia (8-6) on Tuesday and Ponte Vedra will face Nease (9-7) on Wednesday.
