WINTER PARK, Fla. (October 31, 2011) – With a roster full of new talent the Tars look for a successful season, head coach RJ Rossi has announced the Rollins men’s lacrosse 2012 schedule.Rossi enters his second season as the Tars head coach and looks to make huge strides in the program’s fifth season. The team heads into the new year with momentum from the 2011 campaign, which saw the Tars post two consecutive road victories and finish out the season with strong play. With a crop of new players and the return of key veterans the Tars look for a successful 2012 slate.Rollins kicks-off the season with three-straight road games. It starts with a swing through the Carolina’s, playing at Mars Hill on February 9^th and nationally-ranked Saints of Limestone on February 12^th. They then return to the Sunshine State to face Florida Southern on February 22^nd. Rollins home opener will be February 25^th against first year program Florida Tech. The Tars will once again hit the road for a four-game stretch that will see Rollins take on two conference opponents in Saint Leo on February 29^th  and Wingate on March 3rd before stepping out of conference to face Queen’s University on March 5^th and Lees-McRae March 7^th.The Tars then head home for a three-game home stand that will see St. Andrew’s on March 10^th, Pfeiffer on March 12^th and Colorado Mesa on March 17^th make stops in Winter Park for non-conference battles. Rollins will head back on the road for a difficult four game stretch that will see the Tars matchup against assistant coach Chis Lewis’ old squad in Merrimack on March 22nd and perennial powerhouse LeMoyne on March 25^thfor non-conference.
