Saint Andrew’s senior FO/M Alex Newhouse has chosen Union College, where he will major in bioengineering and play lacrosse at the collegiate level for the Dutchmen. He chose Union, a selective liberal arts school in Schenectady, NY, for its strong science and engineering programs, small class size, and highly ranked DIII lacrosse program in the Liberty League. He is excited to play for Coach Paul Wehrum, a member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, who has lead the Dutchmen to the NCAA Quarterfinals in two of the past three seasons, and is looking forward to making an immediate impact at the X.
Alex has played club lacrosse for the Swordfish, Team Florida, and NoVa West. “ I want to thank my parents for their time & commitment in helping me find the right college fit . I also want to express my appreciation to my coaches R.J. Dawson, Tony Seaman, my Saint Andrew’s teammates, Rich Carter, Jeff Goldberg, and Devin Pinkston for their inspiration and special thanks to Sam Talkow for taking countless face-offs with me.”
The Union Dutchmen will be heading to Boca Raton for spring games against Bard College on March 21st and Williams College on March 24th.
