Seminole High School Hires All American Mike Von Kamecke

Seminole High School (Sanford) is pleased to announce the hiring of Mike Von Kamecke as the Boy’s Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach. Coach Von Kamecke served as the Boy’s Head Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Trinity Prep in Orlando, FL in 2013. Prior to that, he served as an assistant lacrosse coach at the University of Tampa in 2012 and at The Salisbury School in Maryland in 2011. Mike is a 2011 graduate of Salisbury University (MD). Playing for DIII Salisbury Sea Gulls, Von Kamecke was a member of two DIII National Championship teams in 2007 and 2008. Collegiate lacrosse honors include All-CAC First Team in 2008 and Honorable Mention All-American in 2009. As a senior, Von Kamecke was named ECAC Division III All-Metro/South Region All-Star First Team, USILA All-American Second Team and All-CAC First Team. He finished his career with 181 points on 108 goals, 73 assists. After graduating college, Von Kamecke has continued his lacrosse career on the LXM PRO Tour. A graduate of Bishop Moore High School in Orlando, FL, Von Kamecke was a 3-time US Lacrosse All-American and finished his high school career with 288 points. Joining Coach Von Kamecke as an assistant coach is Tanner Gard. Gard is a 2013 graduate of Jacksonville University where he was a 3 year starter at close defense for the DI JU Dolphins. Coach Gard was named All-MAAC Second Team in 2013 and MAAC All-Academic in 2012 and 2013. Tanner began his collegiate lacrosse career at Presbyterian College (SC) in 2009 before transferring to Jacksonville after his freshman year. A graduate of Winter Springs High School in Winter Springs, FL, Gard started for four years and was a US Lacrosse All-American as a senior.
