Maclay looks to repeat in District 1
In District 2 Episcopal takes on Stanton tonight.  Stanton has had a great run this year at 9-5 but Episcopal won the regular season game handily 13-2. District 3 will be exciting! Ponte Vedra vs. Creekside.  Creekside demolished Bartram Trail in the semi-final 14-4 but Ponte Vedra won a highly anticipated regular season game 10-3.  Can Creekside get that offense working against one of the state’s best defenses? In District 9 Lake Brantley will look to defend their title against Apopka.  Apopka had a tremendous turn around this season going 9-6 this season after a disastrous 1-13 outing in 2012.  But Brantley won the regular season match up 19-1. District 10 finds West Orange taking on Ocoee for the championship.  Ocoee is 8-8 and West Orange is 13-6 and won the regular season match up 12-6.  The winner of tonight’s game is to face the District 11 Champion. Winter Park and Oviedo face off tonight in what should be a pretty close Championship game in District 12.  Oviedo was the #2 seed and beat Trinity Prep 23-4 and top seeded Winter Park beat Lake Howell 18-3 in the semi-finals.  These two teams played to a one goal Winter Park win during the regular season. The District 15 Championship game tonight features Tampa Jesuit and Sarasota’s Cardinal Mooney.  Both teams have had great season with Tampa Jesuit at 12-6 and Mooney at 10-2.  But TJ won the regular season match up 14-5 and have played a much tougher schedule.

District 18’s Barron Collier looks to repeat as District Champions as they prepare for Naples tonight.  Naples defeated the Community School of Naples 9-8 to make the championship game.  BC crushed Lely 18-0.  The regular season advantage belongs to the Cougars as they beat Naples 19-6 back on March 19th. District 19’s Holy Trinity Episcopal has come a long way since their 1-11 2011 season as the find themselves playing for a District Championship.  Melbourne Central Catholic stands in their way.  MCC won the regular season game 21-6. Vero Beach faces off against St. Ed’s tonight in the District 20 Championship.  St. Ed’s is another team who has had a solid turn around season.  7-8 in 2012 they are now 10-3.  But Vero Beach is the favorite tonight.  Vero Beach has only lost twice this season, once to a solid Creekside team, the other to national powerhouse Calvert Hall.  Their 13 wins include a 15-4 victory over St. Ed’s in the regular season. The District 21 final pits Jupiter against Jensen Beach for the Championship.  Jupiter is #2 in our Coaches Poll and has been for most of the season.  The final four favorite upended Jensen Beach 15-4 during regular season play. Wellington plays Palm Beach Central for the title in District 23.  This is going to be a battle as these guys played a tight 13-10 game won by Wellington during the regular season.

St. Andrew’s plays Boca in the District 24 final tonight.  Clearly, St. Andrew’s is the favorite here and on our Top Ten Coaches Poll.  Boca did spend a few weeks on our top ten poll and will be giving the Scots everything they have tonight. 13-4 Calvary Christian takes on 12-6 Pine Crest tonight for the District 26 Title.  One of the four losses suffered by Calvary Christian this season was a 20-6 beating at the hands of Pine Crest. The District 27 final has St. Thomas Aquinas playing the University School.  St. Thomas won the regular season match up 19-1. District 28 is the only district that has not played their semi finals yet.  Cooper City will take on Archbishop McCarthy tonight and West Broward will face off against Cypress Bay. The District 30 Champions will be crowned tonight after Coral Shores and Miami Palmetto have had their say.  Coral Shores won the regular season game in a close 5-4 battle.  Palmetto is 7-8 going into the game and Coral Shores is 5-7.  This is a true tossup.
