TAMPA, Fla. (Men’s Lacrosse) – The 2014 Inaugural Sunshine State Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship Game will now be played at 7 p.m. on Saturday, April 26 at the Naimoli Family Athletic and Intramural Complex in Tampa. The No. 6 Tampa Spartans will host the No. 9 Florida Southern Moccasins for the first-ever conference tournament championship. It will be the second meeting between the two nationally ranked teams this season when No. 6 Tampa and No. 9 Florida Southern meet for the first-ever conference tournament championship Saturday. The Spartans hosted the Moccasins in their first conference game of the season—Florida Southern’s second conference game—back on March 13 where Tampa pulled out a 12-6 victory. The Spartans and Moccasins were tied 5-5 through the first half, but Tampa outscored Florida Southern 7-1 in the second half to win the first meeting by six goals. Live statistics and video will be available for the SSC Championship Game at www.tampaspartans.com.
