Written by Lee Roggenburg on . Posted in .
Over the next few days we are going to highlight some players that had great summers.  These guys are making an impact out there on the recruiting scene and are players who are going to make an impact this spring. Check out Part 1 here. Drew Minchew – a rising junior – 2015 – He plays midfield. Drew is extremely athletic and an explosive dodger. He has a dangerous shot from both his right and his left. Drew was a standout at the MIdsummer Classic @ UMASS as well as the Carolina SHootout where he made the all star team. Drew made the all star team at the Super Sophs showcase as well as the Roanoke Camp. He has attracted interest from schools such as: Highpoint, Jacksonville, Duke, St Johns, Providence, Roanoke, and Georgetown. Tyler Martin – a rising junior @ Vero Beach HS – 2015. Tyler plays attack as well as midfield. Tyler is definitely a player to watch. He is one of the most accurate shooters in the state both on the run and time and room. He has an extremely bright future ahead of him. He suffered a knee injury during one of the college showcases but still has attracted many D1 coaches. He is a difference maker for sure. Mikey Urso (Pope John Paul II HS) & Dawson Allen (Calvary Christian) both rising seniors – 2014 – They both played in many events this summer although they have both verbally committed to Mount Saint Marys. They showed exceptional leadership skills and continue to work on every aspect of their game…making sure they did the little things right. They both were standouts at the MidSummer Classic in UMASS as well as the Carolina Shootout where they made the all star team.  Mikey also participated in the Brine National Invitational & the Under Armour event. Nate Bleckley attended Blue Chip 225 rising Junior showcase as an Attackman and made the All-Star team.  Last year he attended the rising Sophomore showcase and made the All-Star team as Middie.  Nate also was selected as the MVP in the Tampa Team Tournament (T3) hosted by University of Tampa, which pitted players from all High School programs of Tampa in a week long series of games culminating with a Championship game.  Nate Bleckley plays for Wharton High School and is one of the Varsity team captains.
