LAKE MARY (May 28, 2015) – The beginning of the summer club lacrosse season starts with the Summer Faceoff, which once again brings together top club programs from all corners of Florida, as well as the Southeast United States. Hosted by Orlando Lacrosse, the 4th Annual Summer Faceoff will be held May 30-31 at Austin Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee and the Omni ChampionsGate Resort in Davenport. “Teams traveling to Orlando will be afforded a great opportunity to test their skills against new competition and ready their team for the summer club season,” said Garrick Robinson, Orlando Lacrosse President. “We are expecting our largest, most diverse, and most competitive pool of teams to date from across the state of Florida.” More than 130 boys teams from Florida and the Southeast US will battle it out for the Summer Faceoff Championship in nine divisions – High School A, High School B1, High School B2, U15A, U15B, U13A, U13B, U11 and U9. In addition, the Summer Faceoff is now a regional qualifier for the IMG Nationals held in November at IMG Academy. “We really appreciate the effort and forethought that is put into the annual Summer Faceoff in Orlando,” said Pete Dunne, Barracudas Lacrosse Coach. “Communication with program directors is continuous and collaborative, the locations have changed over the years but always for the better, and the directors clearly care about the experience for the programs attending, showing a continuous desire to exceed expectations. The Summer Faceoff stands out in our market as one of the high quality events and we make it a point to attend each year.” The Summer Faceoff will once again utilize Austin Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee, home to some of the most elite club lacrosse, soccer and football events in the country. As the tournament has grown, the new fields at the Omni ChampionsGate Resort have been added to the schedule.
