Tampa Jesuit Wins District 15 Over Steinbrenner

District 15 Finals were played Thursday night with #2 Seed Jesuit Tigers (10-6) facing the #4 Seed Steinbrenner Warriors (10-4). Jesuit took a 4-2 early lead in the first quarter and was looking to control the game. Steinbrenners Junior James Cowan (3g) scored the first 3 Steinbrenner goals unassisted to keep the game close at half 7-6.
The Tigers offense led by Jesuit Senior Stephano Mastro (Mount St Mary) (5g, 1a), Senior Jackson Parisey (2g,2a), Senior Hunter Revord (2g,1a) and Freshman Jake Lemon (3g) came alive in the second half scoring 6 goals. The Tiger defensive unit led by Junior Goalkeeper Sebastian Rivers (9 saves) Senior Benny Perez, Senior Nick Jeffrey and Junior Michael McHale shut down the Warrior attack, killing numerous penalties and only allowing 1 goal in the second half to win District 15 Title 13-7.
Tampa Jesuit (11-6) will face the winner of District 16 next Friday Night April 17th at 7pm for the first round of regional play.
