Mayor Udine, City Manager Caryn Gardner-Young, and Director of Parks and Recreation Phil Biscorner were all instrumental in helping Neil McAdorey, Stoneman Douglas Lacrosse Assistant Coach and the South Florida Maccabi Head Coach, bring Team Israel to Parkland for a series of friendly games this week ahead of the International Maccabi Games. Last night¹s match featured the 2015 Maccabi Team with support from some alumnae vs. Team Israel who is augmented by select local players from Pine Crest, Stoneman Douglas, Saint Andrews, Spanish River, St. Thomas Aquinas and American Heritage. One of the South Florida players on the roster for Team Israel was Marc Wolff who returns to lacrosse after taking over a year off. The Maccabi Team was the victor last night which featured a strong showing from Maccabi Alumnae David Tescher and Connor McAdorey who accounted for seven of last nights goals and six assists between them with McAdorey having the hot hand with four goals. McAdorey and Tescher will be joining Team Israel for the remainder of the week as Team Israel takes on Stoneman Douglas Tuesday evening and Florida Elite on Thursday Evening. With a Maccabi rematch on Wednesday and a second Stoneman Douglas game on Friday Team Israel will be well prepared for the Maccabi games.
