There are three events taking place in Central Florida this weekend.

The Citrus Bowl Summer Face Off is taking place at Austin Tindall Regional Park in Kissimmee.  Over 110 covering both A and B divisions of six different age groups are competing. Clubs represented include the Orlando Possums, Blue Devil Elite, Florida Elite, Georgia Outlaws, Lacrosse Club of Orlando, and many others.  A complete list of teams and schedules can be found here. Along with the Citrus Bowl Summer Face Off is the Pride of Florida Lacrosse Showcase.  This event features four teams of players who tried out at regional events.  These 100 young men will compete for 25 roster spots to represent Florida at the Brine National Lacrosse Classic.

At the University of Central Florida players from all over the Southern United States are gathering to try-out for a roster spot on the South Team to compete in the Under Armour Underclass Tournament.  Florida State Champion Coach Chris Spaulding, Jupiter’s Danny Loftus, and Coppell HS (TX) head coach Alex Poole will be selecting their players to travel to Baltimore July 5-7 to take on the county’s best players.  Under Armour has added the “Underclass Uncommitted Games” to the calendar this year exclusively for uncommitted players who are not selected to the regional team.  But players must try-out this weekend to be eligible.
