Timber Creek Alumni Wins Second National Championship

While Jesse Bernhardt was easily the most noticeable Florida product on the lacrosse field this weekend there was another Central Florida product out there working toward her second ring in two years. Christy Turner, a sophomore at Northwestern, graduated from Orlando’s Timber Creek High School in 2010.  The High School All American saw substantial time as a reserve defender during her freshman year and earned a starting position for the Wildcats this season. The defensive specialist started all 23 games for Northwestern this season, scoring 2 goals and 1 assist while picking up 22 ground balls. We caught up with Christy back in February at the US Lacrosse Champion Challenge at Disney back in February.
