Please go to CFNews13.com for video highlights of this game.  Luke Macchia made his first start of the season for the Saints last night after missing the first 8 games of the year recovering from a football injury.  He certainly made the most of it.  Macchia exploded for 5 goals and 3 assists.  Nobody was happier to see Luke back on the field than Dylan Davis who has been seeing quite a lot of extra attention from opposing defenses as the scoring threats of Macchia and Ryan Hinkley have been sidelined with injuries.  Davis kicked in his season high 5 goals.  Darrick Loftus scored twice and Travis Fredricks scored another to give Trinity Prep their the best offensive effort of the season. At the other end of the field Senior Defenseman Nick Cannatella also made his first start of the season after recovering from an elbow injury suffered during football season.  He added depth and experience to a young defense that only allowed a single goal through the first three quarters of the game.  Senior goalie Ried Gill had a solid performance making 7 saves and only giving up 1 goal in three quarters of play. Brandon Boss led East Ridge in scoring with 3 goals on the evening. East Ridge drops to an even 5-5 on the season and will next host Dr. Phillips on Tuesday.  Trinity improves to 2-7 and will travel to Oak Hall-Gainesville for a Saturday afternoon game.
