WINTER PARK, Fla. (March 7, 2016) – Senior attacker Tyler Thomas became the Rollins women’s lacrosse program’s all-time leading goal scorer as she helped the sixth-ranked Tars overpower No. 14 Queens University of Charlotte by a final score of 12-5 on Monday evening at Barker Family Stadium and Cahall-Sandspur Field.  The win advances the Tars’ record to 5-0 on the season, while the Royals take their first loss and dip to 3-1. Ty Thomas, who entered into the game with 161 career goals, tallied two on the night to advance her career total to 163.  With her performance, the Winter Park, Fla. native surpassed former Rollins standout Erica Pagliarulo who held the previous all-time goal scoring record with 162 in her four year career with the Tars.  Thomas tied Pagliarulo’s total with a goal on a free position shot to put the Tars on the scoreboard at the 25:28 mark in the first half, and earned her milestone goal in the second half with 22:20 left in the game off of an assist from Emily Eddowes.
