Keiser University men’s lacrosse coach Patrick Johnston signed Zachary Sjogreen as the sixth member of his inaugural recruiting class. Sjogreen is a 5-11, 200 pound defender from South Plantation HS in Plantation, Florida. Sjogreen chose to stay in the sunshine state where he earned Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald All-County Honorable Mention as a Junior. In his senior year, Zach earned US Lacrosse All-District Honorable Mention as well as Sun Sentinel and Miami Herald All-County honors. Zachary was a two year captain on South Plantation’s varsity team, picking up 63 ground balls and forcing 53 caused turnovers in his senior campaign. “Zach is a quick and physical defender, and he handles the ball well in transition even picking up a few goals,” Coach Johnston stated. “He arrives on hands, and he can obviously take the ball away. Zach is also a strong student and a great young man who I’m looking forward to watching grow as a student, an athlete, and a man.” Sjogreen added, ” I picked Keiser because I love the opportunity to start a program fresh and make it great.” Zachary will be majoring in Business.
