Men’s Lacrosse Falls in Shootout to No. 3 Reinhardt
No. 1 Keiser Seahawks 15, No. 3 Reinhardt Eagles 19

Keiser men’s lacrosse dropped their first game of the season this evening versus the Reinhardt Eagles. The Seahawks dueled with the Eagles and got an outstanding performance from AJ Badik, but ultimately couldn’t keep up with the Reinhardt attack. KU is now 30-20 all-time versus ranked opponents.
Keiser 4, RU 6
- The Eagles got on the board first with a goal forty seconds into the game.
- AJ Badik answered with an unassisted goal with 12:56 on the clock.
- The Eagles went on a 4-0 scoring run from 12:01 to 9:17.
- Badik broke the scoring run at the 6:57 mark with another unassisted goal.
- After a goal from RU’s Brady Hanak, Badik converted a man-up opportunity to secure a hat trick.
- Ryan Rundle scored with a Kegan Hufford assist with 28 seconds to go in the quarter.
Keiser 9, RU 11
- Reinhardt scored the first two goals of the quarter.
- Rundle scored his second goal of the day with 10:51 showing on the board.
- After an Eagle goal, the Seahawks put together a 3-0 scoring run with goals from Badik (x2) and Vincent Cerasuolo.
- Reinhardt closed out the half with two goals sandwiched between a Rundle goal in a man-up situation.
Keiser 12, RU 14
- After Reinhardt got the first goal of the quarter, Braeden Niemy scored with 10:54 on the clock.
- Kegan Hufford scored a man-up goal with a Badik assist at the 9:04 mark.
- The Eagles got a goal with 4:01 showing, and Badik answered with an unassisted goal three minutes later.
- Reinhardt found the net with :40 left in the period.
Keiser 15, RU 19
- Badik scored his seventh and eighth goals of the day with 14:09 and 11:45 on the clock.
- Braeden Niemy gave Keiser its first lead of the game with a goal at the 11:32 mark. Cerasuolo provided the assist.
- The lead wouldn’t last long however, as RU tied the game just six seconds later.
- The Eagles retook the lead at 11:26, and closed out the game on a 5-0 scoring run.
- Keiser outshot RU 54-39.
- KU caused 17 Eagle turnovers.
- Chris Rayburn went 17-37 on faceoffs.
- The Seahawks went 19-25 on clears.
- Keiser picked up 34 groundballs.
- Each team turned the ball over 20+ times.
- Lucas Green made 10 saves.
- Badik’s eight goals are tied for second-most during a game in program history.
- Keiser went 6-10 on extra man opportunities.
