Men’s Lacrosse Handles Life 20-5 on Senior Day

Keiser men’s lacrosse picked up their 12th win of the season this afternoon with a 20-5 victory over Life (Ga.) on Senior Day. The Seahawks used a nine-goal quarter to build a big lead and controlled the entire contest. 

First Quarter
Keiser 5, Life 2

  • Senior Logan Dujon scored the first goal of the game unassisted at the 13:08 mark. 
  • Life responded forty seconds later with a goal to tie the game.
  • At the 11:28 mark, Ryan Rundle scored with a JP Prather assist to give Keiser a lead it would hold for the rest of the game. 
  • Vincent Cerasuolo scored his first goal of the game with a Dujon assist at the 10:44 mark. 
  • After a Life goal at the 6:48 mark and four subsequent minutes without scoring, Cerasuolo scored with a Matt Sheehy assist. 
  • Braeden Niemy scored the final goal of the quarter with 32 seconds remaining, with Cerasuolo providing the assist. 

Second Quarter
Keiser 14, Life 3

  • Ryan Rundle opened up the second quarter with a goal that put him in possession of Keiser’s school record for points in a season, passing Craig Marentette.
  • Vincent Cerasuolo linked up with Braeden Niemy for a goal at the 9:38 mark. 
  • Jacob Long of Life broke the Keiser scoring run with an unassisted goal. 
  • In response, the Seahawks ripped off a 7-0 run to end the quarter, with goals from Kegan Hufford (x2), Trey Bowen, (the first of his career), Marek Albiero (2x), Ryan Rundle, and James MacGilvray.
Third Quarter

Keiser 17, Life 4

  • After 10 scoreless minutes to open the second half, Life scored to cut the Keiser lead down to 10. 
  • In the final three minutes of the quarter, Keiser netted three goals, courtesy of two from Braeden Niemy and one from AJ BadikDonovan Barnshaw, Cerasuolo, and Hufford provided the assists. 
Fourth Quarter

Keiser 20, Life 5

  • Life scored their last goal of the day at the 13:03 mark. 
  • JP Prather scored with a Sheehy assist with 7:06 left in the game.
  • Two minutes later, Albiero scored with an assist from MacGilvray. 
  • Zach Crotwell scored the final goal of the game with an assist from Rundle.

  • Keiser outshot Life 66-29. KU has now outshot its opponent in 24 consecutive games.
  • KU caused 14 Running Eagle turnovers.
  • Chris Rayburn went 18-25 on faceoffs. 
  • The Seahawks went 21-23 on clears. 
  • Keiser picked up 41 groundballs. 
  • Lucas Green and James Boyer combined for 11 saves.
